Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, according to an official announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The plane landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital at the time.
This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has experienced equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
